Posting Why are my posts not immediately appearing in a subreddit I've been a member of for more than a year?

Subreddit in question is r/Philippines. Last two posts I put up there never appeared in the New tab. Not sure why. I messaged the mods there but I haven't heard back from them.

Please allow me to disable "Related Posts"

It is really really annoying... It is so intrusive. It is like the devs want to actually annoying users.

Does reddit really think people can't find related posts. The "related posts" are not really related in any specific manner.

Delete that feature. But if you insist on keeping it, at least let me disable it.

My "New" sorting defaults to "Hot" after I read a post

Upvotes

This is new occurrence. I sort all my subreddits by "New." Now, when I read a post and then return to the main page, I'm in "Hot" sorting. Is this happening to anyone else?

Posting Image posts from mobile show up as reddit.com link

Upvotes

I tried searching for an answer but all the responses I found were people saying to do an image post instead of a text post. I posted in r/baking this morning with an image post and when I went back to check later I saw the images were gone with just a reddit.com link in their place that doesn't go anywhere.

I can confirm that the images were originally showing properly because I got a comment on the post and when I responded to it the images were properly displayed.

I've tried reposting twice now, double checking that I'm doing an image post each time. Both times only the placeholder Reddit.com link is displayed.

Worth noting that I'm using the mobile app for all this. Never had this problem before though.

Any thoughts?

Posting Why can’t posts be posted if the editor window is open too long?

For the longest time I’ve found I get this message “text posts are not allowed” if I press “new post” but take too long writing the post. I then copy the text, reopen the subreddit and paste it in and post quickly, and text posts are fine.

Why is it?

It’s so frequent it seems like there’s something I’m not aware of, rather than it being a bug or anything.

Thanks very much

AutoMod answered Seeing posts from subreddits I don't follow

I keep seeing reddit posts from communities I occasionally visit or that reddit seems to think I'll like. I have my feed exactly how I want it, can I turn off these recommended posts?

Ran into this yesterday and just minutes ago again. Same sub, different discussions. Can post on some but not all discussions. Someone an idea what that means?

AutoMod answered How do I get Reddit to stop recommending me subreddits?

When I use reddit, it keeps showing me posts from subreddits I haven't joined. I don't want to join them. If I wanted to join them, I would have joined them already. I can't seen any posts from the subreddits I have joined because my feed is filled with r/funnyanimals or r/mademesmile because it's popular on reddit right now, or because I visited it before.

I've tried going in settings and turning off community recommendations, but that has has seemingly no effect. Can someone help me out here?

A reoccurring glitch/error, I could really use some help

Upvotes

I've asked this before, but I still haven't gotten an answer. I'm mot sure what to do anymore. Like I said before, when I try to access my account activity, I get "You broke Reddit" error message. Sometimes it resolves itself after a few minutes, sometimes hours. Then it is fine, until it starts happening again. It works fine for now, but I can expect it will go down again eventually. It has been going on since Thursday. I use the site (old reddit), not the app.

I don't think it is due to the device, because the same thing happens on both my phone and laptop. Both of my browsers are up to date. I checked both of my devices for malware and nothing was found. And when I do see my account activity, there is nothing strange in it. And yet, this error leels happening.

My Internet connection is fine, and everything else works fine... excelt for this. No, I don't use VPN.

I even thought this may be due to my old phone, as unlikely as that is. My phone broke down a while ago, I had to get a new one, and I was logged into Reddit when it broke down. But that was over six months ago! I tried "Log out all the other sessions", just in case, but the error persisted.

I know that Reddit was down on Thursday. Nothing would load. That was resolved in a few minutes, but ever since then this error started happening.

I still don't know what is causing this, or how to resolve it. If anyone else is experiencing this, or has any idea how to resolve it, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Like I said, I use the site, so this may not affect the users who use an app.

Mobile/App Is there a way to turn off the “watch more” pop up that appears after a video plays on reddit mobile???

Please ffs it’s the most useless “feature” ever implemented and needs to be removed.

Mobile/App Comment glitch

So when viewing front page, everything is new [rising posts, a couple hours old], I see a post I'd like to read comments on, click, and get taken to a different post and comments from 2 days ago, click back, reddit reloads a page of posts a day old, refresh, repeat. I uninstalled and reinstalled ap, was better yesterday, today is similar.

Suggestion for custom feeds

It takes a really long time to add multiple subs to a custom feed, so it would be nice if there was a select option to add multiple subs at a time. Then there is the problem about the limit, so a higher sub limit would also be nice.

Thank you

Received a message that I made a report but I didn’t make such a report?

I received a message from u/reddit that I submitted a report against someone harassing me.

However I didn’t submit any reports? I received an unsolicited chat message (settings won’t let me disable the chat function that I never use) . All I did was select Ignore and block. Does this automatically trigger a harassment report?

Thanks.

Access Unable to access my message inbox

I’m unable to consistently access my private messages on both mobile (iOS) and desktop versions of Reddit. I just get a “Sorry, please try again later” error. I had intermittent access to DMs yesterday, but less luck today.

This is a recurring issue I’ve had with Reddit, and I don’t know if there is a solution I can try on my end or if it’s a site issue. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Access My Reddit video player is not working again

No good deed goes unpunished! I replied to this guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/s5nkwy/comment/htt7mzb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 that a white hat seems to have fixed my issue; and soon after my video player started having issues again. I would not be surprised if a black hat decided to mess around (assuming that is possible). Can someone please help?

Broken comment sorting mechanism when un-collapsing comments?

When comments are sorted by 'new', even if its done automatically, when it's marked as "(Suggested)", and there are so many comments they've been collapsed - there's a clickable text at the bottom, for example "2,350 more replies" - comments loaded by clicking that text are no longer sorted by 'new', but apparently by 'best' or possibly 'top'.

Anyone else noticed this?

EDIT: I'm on browser on desktop.
