While this video is fun, these guys are annoying. They do shit like walk into a post office or a DMV and film people, yell at them if they ask it to stop, and then post it online. They basically try to escalate any minor confrontation that they experience from being weirdos, then film it in an attempt to destroy the person for clicks and that sweet sweet youtube money. While antagonizing cops is funny and cool, it doesn't really accomplish shit, and their only targets aren't correct (cops, politicians, etc), and are often just some poor saps working in a government building for like $16/hr.

It's a job. They aren't heroes.

Yep. Well said. Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking this.

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

Yeah, like imagine going to the DMV and there's some bearded old guy and his weird looking son sticking a selfie stick into your face and if you ask them to go away they're like "OH DO YOU NOT READ THE CONSTITUTION? I AM NOT BREAKING THE LAW PAL. ARE YOU DUMB!?"

I mean, I know the correct response to this - whip out the phone, load up some music app, and start playing the music of a very litigious artist, like AC/DC or The Beatles. Boom, he cannot use it on youtube unless he dubs something over it, which'd make the video suck. He'd move on pretty quick.

That's very clever

u/JeffroCakes Oct 14 '21

I love it! 😂😂😂

cop apologetics. shameless.

these are public servants with broad powers including the ability to kill. they should be held to a standard. a high standard. don't be a bootlicker.

10

u/Condomonium Oct 14 '21

lmao doesn’t mean you should just instigate anyone and everyone to egg them on.

3

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

Simmer down, Tex - I have zero respect for police and support abolishment. My point is that these guys aren’t doing anything good. Look at their channel for fucks sake - they mostly fuck with DMV employees and the like. It’s clickbait and NOT praxis. This kind of content sucks ass.

u/JeffroCakes Oct 14 '21

Look at this from the perspective of a suspect being detained at a scene and some jackasses with cameras go poking around a cruiser, refuse to back up when told, then start antagonizing one of the officers. All getting that close to a cruiser at an active scene like they did is make the situation worse for all involved.

Edit: Record from a distance like the dad was doing initially. That’s fine and something that should be encouraged.

u/Dice5s Oct 14 '21

Maybe if we had more annoying people like this we'd have fewer cops willing to power trip just for kicks. I get your point but what if the cop is in the wrong- then someone's getting jailed for no reason and I'd say that's a lot worse than getting heckled for 16 an hour

-8

u/Thedualandmany Oct 14 '21

They really don't . Idk if you're just generalizing or what? But the dad is very professional

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqQacErWH60&t=204s

This video is in the post office. They are sticking the camera in people's personal space, they get upset sometimes, and then - lo and behold - they're a FUCKING KAREN THAT MUST BE DESTROYED. Dude is basically trolling a fishing line for anyone who is either having a bad day or yes, a confrontational asshole.

And ya just know for every video they release, theres probably 10 attempts to piss someone off that doesn't work, and they just leave after being annoying.

Why the hell is he at a post office doing this? Easy prey? A lot of governmental abuse happening at the post office, is there?

11

u/Thaksin_Shinawatra Oct 14 '21

I'm with you-- I like the idea of what they're attempting to do, but they are not doing it well at all, in my opinion. Rather than engaging in any constructive way, they go in with an intention to instigate and try desperately hard to get a reaction.

13

u/RowBoatCop36 Oct 14 '21

Not sure why that one is being downvoted. They're just being pricks there.

-11

u/Thedualandmany Oct 14 '21

People from small towns are weird as fuck about cameras it's not illegal who gives a fuck what they're doing? People film around me all the time nobody bats an eye. And nobody is entitled to an explanation

u/atln00b12 Oct 14 '21

maaan, I wish they would try this in Georgia or probably anywhere in the south. These guys are fucking annoying and someone would totally snap on them, where ever they are seems like a really really chill area.

1

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

I’ve lived there - Arizona - and in Georgia, and I can assure you that GA is more chill.

-7

u/Thedualandmany Oct 14 '21

You're a nutter have a truly awful day.

4

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

Seems like a reasonable response, thanks for your comment

-6

u/JimmyJames109 Oct 14 '21

I see no problem here.

9

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

Strange how everyone who likes bothering people in public in this thread is a regular poster at the anti vax forum /r/conspiracy

0

u/JimmyJames109 Oct 14 '21

I have never posted anything anti-vax, and it's not just an anti-vax forum. I do enjoy hearing other viewpoints, especially the crazy ones there. I'm not sure how that's at all relevant here apart from a weak attempt to discredit me.

1

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

Not just an antivax forum? Sure has me fooled what with 80% of the posts being about the vaccine and how evil it is

But you’re right of course. It’s also about hating Jews. That’s why it’s widely considered a hate sub.

0

u/JimmyJames109 Oct 14 '21

I don't condone many views there, but there are actually interesting things posted there from time to time. I don't think it's fair to judge me based commenting there. If you'd like to directly confront me on anything I've actually said, I'd be more than happy to defend my positions. Don't try to make some weak connection to me being anti-vax or a jew hater.

0

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

So you don’t agree with them, but do enjoy cordial discussion and common agreement on other things with anti vaxxers and racists. Gotcha.

0

u/JimmyJames109 Oct 14 '21

You must be angry that you can't argue your points without nonsense like this.

-1

u/JimmyJames109 Oct 14 '21

Yes, I see those. I dislike and argue with many. I wouldn't be there if that was all there was.

0

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

So it’s like going to a klan rally for the buffet. Don’t agree with the racism, but they have other merits, right?

0

u/JimmyJames109 Oct 14 '21

You obviously have some issues. Your attempts to paint me as a racist are frankly pathetic. Find something I've said that's racist or piss off.

This video is in the post office. They are sticking the camera in people's personal space

Not from what I saw in the video. If they were in their “personal space”, which is a subjective thing btw, it was because other people approached them and initiated the interaction. You notice the one guy in black walked right up to one of the men filming, close enough to bump chests? And notice how far from the entrance to the post office they were when that occurred? You could dislike them and what they’re doing but don’t make stuff up, man. It’s right there in the video.

6

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

He was sticking the camera into the postal workers face, right over the desk.

I actually do not understand the adulation people have for this kind of content. If you encountered this guy irl, it’d piss you off guaranteed. He’s a smarmy shit trying to piss people off for a YouTube video.

-3

u/varock12 Oct 14 '21

He was sticking the camera into the postal workers face, right over the desk.

Again, not what the video showed. He never crossed the customer side of the partition, let alone get into the worker’s face. You’re exaggerating. Consider the camera an extension of his body. If he is conducting business (buying a stamp) and interacting with a public employee, he has every right to film his transaction. He can film whatever his eyes can see. It’s even expressly permitted in the rules & regulations posted on the wall of the post office itself.

I don’t question your distaste for 1st amendment audits on YT. There are plenty of bad apples that purposefully provoke a negative reaction for clicks. This guy can sure get fiery and rude but he is never the one to instigate it.

2

u/NormalAdultMale Oct 14 '21

Again, I don’t care about your limp and laughable defense of this annoying YouTube channel. Go watch it if you love it so much

The idea that harassing a post office worker does anything at all for the first amendment is completely laughable

-1

u/varock12 Oct 14 '21

Oh I definitely will. I’m sure they appreciate the exposure as well. And keep laughing and enjoying life, brother!

3

u/RowBoatCop36 Oct 14 '21

They're definitely being insufferable pricks to random people for no reason in the video the guy you're responding to linked...
